I love my kale. Got the seeds from Canada, last year. As you may see in the photos, the small plant has grown sturdier this spring, it produced new seeds so I can expand her realm. This makes me even more happy about my kale.
Deciding to pose with her, around her, I called my Fotomann on short notice. He obeyed, as always. But something (not exactly new) has happened during this photo sitting. I’ve heard voices coming from a neighboring garden. Not a new occurrence, often times I’ve been hearing even more voices coming from all the gardens around. Can’t tell if those many voices were making eyes over the fences or not. Until this moment!
Clear as the day, I see two guys, one carrying a chainsaw, the other helping him, climbing a tree, not far from me. I stop and fix them with my stare. They pat each other to hide into silence. Too late, their camouflage has been uncovered.
My Fotomann has not the slightest idea about the two intruders. With the back at them, he is too busy taking photos of me as I continue stripping my blue blouse (no, that is no dress) off, playing nude around my beautiful kale bush. I don’t tell him about the voyeurs. They don’t move, trying to snail their bodies to that bough.
A hundred and twenty photos later, I move indoor, followed by my Fotomann. I tell him that all the time we had two spectators in a tree. The buzz of the chainsaw confirms my observation.
“Good for them.” Says hubby, continuing: “and good for you, for showing the courage and keeping the course!”
There was a bunny in my head.
He wished to run and hide in shame.
But the cougar stopped him and said:
Think twice before making your claim.
Step out and mark your territory,
Remember, we are the CougarBunny.
Sounds crazy? Because so it is.
