The Casual Nympho

Tomorrow, people of Earth will celebrate Valentine’s Day, along with so many happy businesses that are promoting – and modelling – holidays for profit. Millennials – or many of the netizens – are blockbusting Bernie Sanders’ ratings. Little they know about socialisms of late: international Soviet or German national. Why not taste a new blend? Modern and American! What can go wrong? Good luck to their tongues.

But hey? Why am I rambling politics on my sexy blog? Because politicians of all ages are worshiping the religion of Power, are addicted to Power, are bipolar about Power. It is a medical condition, intermingled with psychopathy. Regardless if right or left, liberal or conservative, politicians are pathological liars. And there is no cure about that. Replacing or rotating them solves nothing. Sometimes it gets even worse.

The herd craves for a leader. It is a mammal habit. Human sophistication – exploiting nature – made it complex and corrupt. Inventing second natures. Or fetishes. Here it is what Google says about this word, fetish:

noun
1. a form of sexual desire in which gratification is linked to an abnormal degree to a particular object, item of clothing, part of the body, etc.
“a man with a fetish for surgical masks”
synonyms: fixation, sexual fixation, obsession, compulsion, mania; weakness, fancy, taste, fascination, craze, fad; idée fixe; informalthing, hang-up
“he developed a rubber fetish”
2. an inanimate object worshiped for its supposed magical powers or because it is considered to be inhabited by a spirit.
synonyms: juju, talisman, charm, amulet; totem, icon, idol, image, effigy, doll, statue, figure, figurine; archaicperiapt
“he worshipped an African fetish”

Generations may disagree on politics, but old and young will agree on what Google says. It’s an algorithm! Not that some geeks couldn’t tinker with it. Like with anything else.

Humankind has to deal with two (kinds of) fetishes: the sexual one – blame everything and anything on it!; and the power one – collect the positives and blame any negative on sex.

Wisdom teaches of balance and fear, joy and patience. Walking the distance between reason and emotion. Insights have to be humorous, sarcastic, funny, or else the outsights would head South.

Chloe Thurlow writes in her blog about nymphomania.

“They believed that nymphomania was the same as addiction to drugs, alcohol, bitterness, envy, ambition – that a nymphomaniac never experiences the full pleasure of orgasm and, as with all addictions, it ends up destroying the addict. (…) A cause driven by men, it was hard for them to believe that a girl with nymphomania didn’t crave sex because she never reached orgasm, but the reverse: she always reaches orgasm.”

Men of wisdom know to reject the promise of power. They know this because they believe that power is the same as addiction to drugs, alcohol, bitterness, envy, ambition – that a politician never experiences the full pleasure of power and, as with all addictions, it ends up destroying the addict. History brims with examples but, you know, just watch the allegories in Game of Thrones to get the idea.

Women of wisdom would have the orgasm as an escape rather than an addiction. Pressed by children, depressed by parents, harassed by equals, the busy woman is sick and sorry of this vast theater of the world. Reaching for the orgasm, leaving gravity behind, fills the day and calms the night down. No one gets hurt, if you do it properly (but that’s another matter for another day).

A woman of wisdom, dare I say in moderated voice, would be the casual nympho: knowing when to go, knowing when to stop, knowing when to come. Hermits and monks practice ecstatic prayer to escape this addictive world, so they can return to their duties with a refreshed mind and body. Just like the casual nympho.

Undernote. Wishing you a Happy and Cuddly Valentine’s, I’ll remind you how this day will end: with a new episode from “The Walking Dead.” “No Way Out” is the title of this new episode, about to air on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 9:00PM. The dots are there, you only need to draw some lines amongst…

  1. Doris, my sweet, only you could see the parallel between sex and politic. Brilliant. I also love that you have the courage to put your intimate thoughts into words. During my youth, we had this belief the world was controlled by SPAM, an acronym for Sex, Power, Art and Money because one could always lead to the others. If you really think about it, power could be considered an aphrodisiac. Everyone wants it, and will do anything to achieve it. What I do not like is that we, as a people, seem to give ours away freely to someone who abuses it. We need to take our power back, and use it for the benefit of all. Thank you for your blog, Doris. You are not only beautiful but brilliant. Happy Valentine’s Day, my good friend.
